Instruction
.Apply hairspray to the area where the ink is. Rub it in gently with a sponge or damp rag but take care not to wipe it off. Keep pets and children away, as hairspray could be harmful to them.
.Let the hairspray sit on the area for at least 10 minutes. For larger stains, you may want to leave it for half an hour to 45 minutes. This will give the hairspray time to react to the ballpoint ink and lift the stain.
.Apply a warm, wet rag to the area. The stain should now come out rather easily.
.Take a white eraser and gently scrub back and forth on the area. This should make the white show up more and remove any remaining color from the ink.
.Use rubbing alcohol on the ink stain and let sit for five to 10 minutes, if the hairspray doesn't work. Then, wipe the jacket down with a wet rag.
.Wipe all cleaners or other chemicals off the jacket. If you leave them on, you may make yourself sick if you are allergic to the chemicals or mix of chemicals. You also risk bleaching the clothes you wear under your jacket.
